Today was a short day for me as I was only there for the morning. I'm sure your child can fill in the blanks for the afternoon though. In Math, we practiced and reviewed decimals. Some were working with me naming and writing decimals, others were practicing adding and subtracting decimals and everyone (by the end of class) was completing a mini project using decimals realistically. I "gave" them $1,000 and they have to spend it keeping track of what they buy and a running tally of how much they spend and have remaining. I noticed that some are spending money on things with only dollars or round numbers so tomorrow we are going to figure in some tax to make sure they are truly practicing with decimals! Sneaky kiddos! This afternoon, they read and worked on a Time for Kids about time in school, worked on elapsed time and had a book review lesson in the library. They also worked on their weather comic strip some.
